Successful PRINTING of Super 8 and 16mm Film using ordinary Inkjet Printer

June 24, 2007 -- Jesse England, a 24 year old graduate of the University of Oregon, has sucessfully used an inkjet (and laser) printer to make Super 8 and 16mm 'film' movies.  According to Jesse "The first step was to obtain the correct dimensions of Super 8 film, make a template, and arrange video frames onto the Super 8 template. To avoid  the laborious task of cutting and pasting hundreds of frames of video, it was converted into the "filmstrip" format using Adobe Premier. In Photoshop, the aptly-named filmstrip was cut and pasted onto the template."

According to his website, Jesse's intent was "to explore the aesthetic possibilities of a new imaging method." Image quality issues aside I think it is quite a feat!
